On 16 March 2011, Rolls-Royce hosted their third annual Supplier of the Year Awards Dinner, near Washington D.C. (USA), with their top strategic Partners and Suppliers in attendance.
Marelli Motori received the prestigious award as “Rolls-Royce Supplier of the Year” for 2010 as a key supplier of electric motors and generators for the marine sector. Roberto Ditri, Managing Director, Marelli Motori, proudly accepted this award and committed to continued progress on the “road to excellence” for Marelli Motori.
“The Rolls-Royce Supplier of the Year awards recognise the contribution and continuous commitment of strategic partners and suppliers in support of the Rolls-Royce supply chain strategy and, ultimately, the performance of our product range.

Marelli Motori ha ricevuto il prestigioso premio ‹‹Rolls-Royce Supplier of the Year›› per l’anno 2010 come migliore fornitore di motori elettrici e generatori per applicazioni marine.

On December 3rd, Mr. Enrico Viscardi, Director of Marelli Manufacturing Asia, was presented with the “Selangor Investors’ Appreciation Award 2011″ by the Selangor State Government represented by the Chief Minister Tan Sri Dato’ Seri Abdul Khalid Ibrahim.
During the ceremony held at the Shah Alam Convention Centre, Marelli Manufacturing Asia received this prestigious award as recognition and appreciation for the outstanding achievements and contribution to the local industry. Selangor is the richest Malaysian state and this official acknowledgement as one of the Top Ten State Investors makes Marelli Motori very proud of its Malaysian facility.

Italian Business Mission to South Korea

The largest business mission to South Korea ever organised by Confindustria, the Italian Baking Association and the Foreign Trade Association has just taken place in Seoul.
Following the Free Trade Agreement of last July between the EU and Korea, the objective of this initiative was to establish stronger bilateral relationships and investigate new business opportunities for our Country.
Marelli Motori was amongst the 60 selected Italian companies which travelled to meet the representatives of one of the most dynamic and promising new economies. In 2010 South Korea was the 7th world largest exporter, and the recent abolition of import duty is widely increasing the advantages of making business with Korea.
The Managing Director, Roberto Ditri, the Technical Director Gianluca Stanic and the Asia Pacific Sales Manager Chris Cheah attended the event as Marelli Motori representatives.
During the Italy-Korea Business Forum, Mr. Gianluca Stanic, introduced our latest range of products suitable for Marine and Oil & Gas Applications, whose innovative technology met consent and aroused considerable interest.
Marelli Motori participated to several B2B meetings, and in particular two Korean industrial giants such as Doosan Heavy Industry & Construction (industrial materials and facilities) and SK E & C (engineering, procurement, construction, and maintenance services) specifically requested to meet our company in order to discuss future business ventures.
The MD Roberto Ditri in a small delegation met the Chairman of Korea Chamber of Commerce & Industry (KCCI), Mr Kyung Shik Sohn and his staff.
Missione Economia Italiana in Corea

Si è conclusa la più grande missione economica mai organizzata in Corea da Confindustria, ABI (Associazione Bancaria Italiana) e Unioncamere.
A seguito dell’accordo di Libero Mercato siglato tra l’Unione Europea e la Corea lo scorso luglio, l’obiettivo di questa iniziativa era rafforzare le relazioni internazionali e creare nuove opportunità di business tra i due paesi.
Con altre 60 aziende italiane, Marelli Motori ha incontrato a Seul i “decision makers” di una delle più dinamiche e promettenti economie asiatiche. Nel 2010 la Corea del Sud si è classificata al settimo posto nel ranking mondiale delle esportazioni e la recente abolizione dei dazi d’importazione ha sicuramente aumentato i vantaggi per gli imprenditori italiani.
Hanno rappresentato Marelli Motori l’Amministratore Delegato Roberto Ditri, il Direttore Tecnico Gianluca Stanic e il Sales Manager Chris Cheah.
Durante il Forum Italia-Corea, l’Ing. Gianluca Stanic, ha presentato le recenti innovazioni tecnologiche dell’azienda per il settore marino e dell’Oil & Gas, riscuotendo molto interesse da parte delle aziende locali.
L’evento si è articolato in una serie di incontri B2B di settore, in particolare da segnalare i due colossi coreani Doosan Heavy Industry & Construction (costruzione e approvvigionamento di impianti industriali) e SK E&C (ingegneria e costruzioni) che hanno richiesto specificatamente di incontrare la nostra azienda.
L’AD Roberto Ditri ha fatto parte inoltre di una delegazione ristretta che ha incontrato il Presidente della Camera di Commercio: Coreana, Kyung Shik Sohn (Chairman of KCCI Korea Chamber of Commerce & Industry) e il suo staff.

Il Concerto di Natale con i Crodaioli di Bepi de Marzi, venerdì 16 dicembre 2011 alle ore 21.00 – ingresso libero.
Anche que
st’anno Marelli Motori ospita il concerto di Natale dei Crodaioli di Bepi de Marzi. Il concerto si inserisce nelle iniziative che l’azienda ha organizzato per il 150° dell’Unità d’Italia e il 120° della sua fondazione.
Fin dalla prima edizione nel Natale del 2009, l’evento ha riscosso un notevole successo confermato da una grande partecipazione; l’emozione che il gruppo polifonico con i suoi canti spirituali riesce a trasmettere è un’occasione da non perdere.
Il concerto è organizzato per Venerdì 16 dicembre 2011 alle 21.00 (ingresso libero) e sarà ospitato come di consueto dalla Marelli Motori S.p.A. che per l’occasione aprirà la propria Officina di Arzignano – Via Sabbionara al Coro ed agli spettatori.

Italian Business Mission to India

Si è conclusa con un notevole successo la recente missione economica in India organizzata da Confindustria, ICE (Istituto per il Commercio Estero) e ABI (Associazione Bancaria Italiana) nelle città di New Delhi e Chennai, dal 31 ottobre al 3 novembre 2011 e promossa dal Ministero dello Sviluppo Economico con la collaborazione del Ministero degli Affari Esteri.
L’iniziativa Italo-Indiana è stata realizzata grazie al supporto internazionale delle autorità governative e della FCICCI (Federation of Indian Chambers of Commerce and Industry).
L’obiettivo è stato quello di approfondire le opportunità di business offerte alle imprese italiane e rafforzare le relazioni economico commerciali con l’India. L’interscambio con l’Italia nel 2010 ha registrato un aumento delle esportazioni del 24% rispetto l’anno precedente. Con questa missione, inserita nel progetto di internazionalizzazione, i due paesi si prefiggono l’obiettivo di raddoppiare i volumi di scambio entro il 2015.
All’evento hanno partecipato un centinaio di imprenditori italiani la cui presenza ha confermato che l’India non può essere più considerata un paese di delocalizzazione, ma un partner industrializzato ricco di opportunità.
I settori sui quali la missione si è concentrata sono l’automotive, la meccanica (voce principale dell’export italiano verso l’India), le energie rinnovabili e le infrastrutture. Sono intervenuti al Forum Ministeriale di cooperazione Italo-Indiana il Ministro Italiano dello Sviluppo Economico, Paolo Romani e il Ministro Indiano per l’Industria e il commercio, Anand Sharma.
Per Marelli Motori il mercato Indiano ha rappresentato e continua a rappresentare un’opportunità di business, l’azienda infatti nel corso di questi ultimi anni ha investito molto nella distribuzione dei sui prodotti in questo paese riuscendo a confermarsi come market leader nel settore dell’energia idroelettrica (principale fonte di energia rinnovabile). La qualità delle macchine elettriche di Marelli Motori è stata anche confermata da forniture di macchine elettriche per Indian Navy. Hanno rappresentato Marelli Motori l’Amministratore Delegato Roberto Ditri, il Direttore Tecnico Gianluca Stanic e il Sales Manager Tung Kar Heng. L’AD Roberto Ditri ha fatto parte inoltre di una delegazione ristretta che ha incontrato il Ministro Indiano dell’Industria Pesante Praful Manoharbhai Patel.
Italian Business Mission to India

The economic mission to India organized by Confindustria, ICE (Institute for Foreign Trade) and ABI (Italian Banking Association) in the cities of New Delhi, Chennai, from 31st October to 3rd November 2011 had a remarkable success. The event was promoted by the Italian Ministry of Economic Development in collaboration with the Italian Ministry of Foreign Affairs.
The Indian-Italian initiative was realized with the international support of government authorities in India and the FCICCI (Federation of Indian Chambers of Commerce and Industry).
The scope of this initiative was to investigate the business opportunities for Italian companies as well to strengthen the economic trade relationship between the two countries. The Italian export figures relevant to 2010 show an increase of 24% compared to 2009. The two countries aim to double their trade volumes by 2015.
The event was attended by a hundred of Italian CEO’s convinced that India can no longer be considered a country just for relocation, but a rich industrialized partner offering great opportunities. Speakers at the Forum the Italian Minister of Economic Development Paolo Romani and the Indian Minister for Industry and Commerce Anand Sharma.
The business mission focused on automotive, mechanical components (the main Italian business in India), renewable energy and infrastructures.
The Indian market is a great business opportunity for Marelli Motori, in particular the hydropower sector (the main source of renewable energy) where Marelli is a market leader. The quality of its electrical machines has been also confirmed by supplying major equipment to the Indian Navy.
The Managing Director, Roberto Ditri, the Technical Director Gianluca Stanic and the Asia Pacific Sales Manager Kar Heng Tung attended the event as Marelli Motori representatives. The MD Roberto Ditri also included in a small delegation allowed to meet the India Minister of Heavy Industry, Mr Praful Manoharbhai Patel.

Yesterday the new Marelli Manufacturing facility located in Shah Alam (Malaysia) has been officially launched at the presence of Roberto Ditri, Managing Director of MarelliMotori Italy, and several local authorities such as the International Trade & Industry Minister Datuk Seri Mustapa Mohamed and the Italian Ambassador Folco de Luca Gabrielli.
The local press has given great prominence to this important business venture involving a multi million investment.

For the third consecutive time Marelli Motori has been the platinum sponsor of the Hydro Power Africa 2011 conference held in Johannesburg, South Africa.
Our Regional Manager Dean Pratt was given the honour to introduce Marelli Motori during the key note opening session to several African authorities and local energy companies.
The technical presentation made by Gianluca Stanic (Technical Director) highlighted our worldwide experience on mini-micro hydro power stations, suitable for exploiting the natural resources of this rich continent (proceedings available in ESI web site www.esi-africa.com ).
Given the limited social and environmental impact, short construction time and quick return on an affordable investment, the audience and authorities attending the conference were convinced that these configurations represent the ideal solution for African shortage of energy.
